North Kesteven
In the heart of rural Lincolnshire, south of the city of Lincoln, lies north Kesteven, an area of endless countryside and charming villages with the two towns of North Hykeham and the historic market town of Sleaford.
With a wealth of local heritage, countryside walks, distinctive collection of arts and crafts, initimate theatres and excellent schools and leisure facilities North Kesteven is one of the fastest growing areas in England and Wales. South Kesteven
South Kesteven is one of the biggest and widespread districts in the UK covering 365 square miles of some of England’s finest countryside. With over 80 villages the area it also covers the four market towns of Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings.
South Kesteven is a beautiful area of rural England. It has a number of nationally renowned visitor attractions, large areas are classified as sites of special scientific interest and the town of Stamford was recently voted one of the top ten places to live by the Daily Telegraph. With excellent communication links; London is just over an hour away by train, making South Kesteven a fantastic place to live and work.
South Holland
South Holland is an area in Lincolnshire known for its pleasant villages, interesting market towns, magnificent medieval churches, prolific garden centres and rich agricultural heritage. It is a fast growing and thriving district with low unemployment and high levels of investment.
Spalding is the largest market town within the district - situated on the River Welland - with an attractive waterfront boasting grand Georgian terraces, tree lined streets and pretty riverside walks. Much of the town is now an outstanding conservation area and offers a traditional shopping centre, busy markets and plenty of history.
East Lindsey
East Lindsey is a large and diverse area. The Lincolnshire Wolds offer true peace and tranquility. The landscapes are wonderfully diverse, from the rolling hills of the Wolds (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) to the Marshes rich with wildlife and the medieval-drained Fenlands in the south. Wherever you look your eye will be drawn by the huge skies that gracefully embrace the hills, fields, villages and market towns.
The Lincolnshire coast is one of the few places left in Britain where you can experience a peaceful feeling of tranquility coupled with traditional seaside resorts. The seaside towns of Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea have all been awarded the new Quality Coast Award for 2007 as well as the Blue Flag.
West Lindsey
West Lindsey covers the area immediately north of Lincoln and forms the north west gateway to Lincolnshire and covers an area of 447 square miles. The district is predominately rural and provides an attractive setting for its three market towns of Caistor, Gainsborough and Market Rasen. It is a diverse and idyllic locality.
Most of the workforce is engaged in service related jobs, the majority being in public administration, education and health.
There is a wide variety of things to do and places to visit within the area from tranquil churches, historic sites and aviation heritage to rural routes and town trails for exploring on bicycle or on foot.
Boston
Boston is a great area to live in and has all the amenities that are associated with a typically English Market town. It has a rich heritage, and its own special character. Exploring the town and surrounding countryside will reveal an intriguing town, with a range of shops and restaurants and nearby outdoor attractions for weekend visitors -from the Lincolnshire Wolds to the coastal salt-marsh bird reserves.
Lincoln City
Lincoln has a unique character that makes it special for residents and attracts visitors and businesses. The City of Lincoln is not only a beautiful place to live, but also a city full of vitality and exciting new changes. It is a city with a long and rich history, from prehistoric settlement, Roman military and civic occupation, the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, the Norman castle and Cathedral, through to the Industrial Revolution and the present day.
Lincoln has events and festivals all the year, from the Great Australian Breakfast in January to the world famous Christmas Market in December, there is always something for everyone, all year round.
