Working in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is a large county on the east coast of England. Outside of the city of Lincoln and the towns across the county the main employment sectors are agricultural, and on the east coast with its seaside resorts, it is leisure.

Despite this rural aspect to the County there are major employers ranging from engineering to service industries. Employment is as varied as the County itself.

The local government sector accounts for many jobs in the County. The County is a 2 tier County with Lincolnshire County Council covering the whole County for education, highways etc and with 7 district councils covering individual areas. These being West Lindsey, East Lindsey, Lincoln City, Boston, North Kesteven, South Holland and South Kesteven. Added to that the coverage of the County by Lincolnshire Police and you can see there is wide scope for working in the Public Sector in Lincolnshire.
